Offset

Note: This widget is available in Live Build DLP version 2.5.xx and higher after logging in to Live Cloud, see Log in to Live Cloud through Live Build DLP.

Due to optical conditions and material properties, excess material may cure beyond the model’s intended outline, especially at inner contours and small structures. This can cause inner structures to shrink and outer structures to expand. The Offset feature adjusts the model’s dimensions to correct these inaccuracies.

  1. Print a model on your printer.

  2. Measure the model’s inner and outer structures in X and Y direction.

  3. Open the Offset widget by selecting the  icon on the left Toolbar.

Note: The values for the Offset parameters are taken from the selected buildstyle file.
  4. Enter the difference between the stated values and the measurements of the printed model into the respective fields: Outer Structure X, Outer Structure Y, Inner Structure X, Inner Structure Y.

Note: These changes are not saved to the selected buildstyle file.
  5. Close the Offset widget.

→ The new parameters are applied to the model.

Lock and Synchronize Offset Values

Select the Lock icon.

→ The system ensures that InnerStructure X and OuterStructure X, as well as InnerStructure Y and OuterStructure Y, change simultaneously and equally.

Example: If you change the OuterStructure X value, the system automatically sets the same value for InnerStructure X.
